Tutor Transfer Ratings

Q: What is this rating?

A: Whenever a student is with a tutor and the tutor become unresponsive or logout for whatever reason, the system will automatically transfer the student into another responsive tutor. This happens after 1 minute of inactivity. These counts are generally based on the last 30 days, and it is ideal not have be transferred system at all. In other words, the lower the number the better. The counter does not include the transfers made by admins based tutor request.

Q: What are the different types of transfer counters on the box?
A: There are two different types of transfer counters being captured by the system:
  • Tutor Logged Out counter
  • Tutor Idle Timeout counter

Q: What is Tutor Logged Out counter?

A:  The system will try to reconnect the student whenever there is a connection disruption, either the client is closed or network instability. To avoid this, the tutors are encouraged to improve session attendance, and have reliable computers/network to work on a session. Additionally use the Wrap-up Feature to stop accepting students if you are at the end of your shift and have to leave.

Q: What is Tutor Idle Timeout counter?

A: A randomly timed popup will appear when standing by in an IA session. The timer is randomly extended by confirming the prompt. If it is timed out then the current tutoring session will be disconnected. To avoid this the tutors are encouraged to actively monitor any incoming students and to respond in a timely manner.  In cases where you have to step out while being logged in. Please click on File > End Session from your QC before you leave your working area.
